As MDXSU President, Aivin’s primary purpose is to represent Student Members to the University and external audiences at all levels. Acting as a public-facing spokesperson for MDXSU and all its activities, Aivin will play a crucial role in promoting student well-being, providing student support, advocacy, and resources to address a wide range of welfare issues, ensuring students have the assistance they need to thrive personally and academically.
The President is the figurehead of the Students' Union and oversees communication between MDXSU and Middlesex students, and is the first point of contact for campus-wide issues. They also chair MDXSU's Trustee Board and represent students on the University's Board of Governors, the highest decision-making body in the university
