This year is already set to be another record breaking year for Middlesex when it comes to democracy...
Earlier this term, you voted in huge numbers to elect the candidates representing your course – with more Student Voice Leaders now representing more programmes than ever before.
We are now delighted to announce another massive turnout in last week's elections to decide which of the twenty-one candidates would become NUS Delegates and attend the National Union of Students Conference. Five students have now been elected and will be going to Brighton to represent all 18,000 Middlesex students at the Conference in April.
Alongside your five new NUS Delegates, students also elected a brand new School Voice Leader for Health & Education, who will sit on the MDXSU Exec with our full-time officers, and work to represent and campaign on behalf of all students within their school.
We're really excited that so many students and leaders are getting involved in our elections, whether by making your voice heard through voting, or by putting yourselves forward for a position - we’ve seen some amazing manifestos and ideas from all candidates, who have put lots of energy into standing in these elections.
The main MDXSU Elections will be launching in the New Year, and will decide next year's full-time MDXSU President and Vice Presidents, as well as several elected part-time roles. You can find out more about the elections at www.mdxsu.com/elections - keep your eyes peeled for more information soon!
