The MDXSU Syrian Refugees campaign, our campaign to convince Barnet Council to resettle fifty Syrian refugees in the borough, has been featured in the Guardian.
The campaign - a collaboration with Citizens UK - was launched in July to help tackle and raise awareness of the worsening refugee crisis. There are numerous ways for students to get involved and support the campaign, from adding a twibbon to their social media profiles and signing a national petition, to offering help and support to refugees when they arrive in the country.
The Guardian article features campaigns by students across the country, highlighting the innovative and inspiring work done to raise awareness of the refugee crisis and help those seeking refuge.
From hashtags and marches, to collections and refugee scholarships, the piece illustrates the surge of community activism taking place around this issue, and the prominent role of students within that.
