This year's Freshers' events are now live!
With just over a month until the first intake of new students arrive at Middlesex, we thought it was time to let you know what Middlesex Students' Union and Middlesex University have in store for Welcome Month...
While you'll receive information on programme inductions and academic events separately, all your social events are now available on the MDXSU website and free MDXSU App (available at GooglePlay and the App Store).
While these events are primarily for new students, returning students are definitely invited too! Freshers' isn't just for freshers...
There's a huge variety of daytime and evening events taking place between September 12th and October 14th, including the return of MDXSU's ever-popular Thames Boat Party, plus shisha nights, two days of Freshers' Fair, a Silent Disco, Speed Meets, two Freshtivals, big clubnights, an International Food Fair and much more.
If you're into sports, or fancy trying something new, you'll want to take a look at the whole host of free fitness classes, sports activities and gym tasters that Middlesex University Sport have planned, as well as sports trials for various teams between Monday 26th September and Friday 7th October.
There are also lots of events and activities for students looking to find out more about Liberation Assemblies, POW! Media, exchanges abroad and keeping well, alongside free cooking classes for anyone looking to brush up on their culinary skills.
For International Students, the University is organising a comprehensive Orientation Programme, helping you find your feet and get to know new people through Orientation Fairs and socials - like the Fish and Chips Supper and Great British Tea Party. For more information on the Orientation Programme, and to book your place, please visit unihub.mdx.ac.uk/orientation
View the current full list online at www.mdxsu.com/events or download the free MDXSU App at GooglePlay or the App Store to browse and save your favourites to your calendar!
If digital browsing isn't your thing, look out for the MDXSU Welcome Guide, which contains all your social events in one handy booklet, plus a pull-out events calendar too! All new UK-based students will get their MDXSU Welcome Guide in the post, while international and returning students will be able to pick one up once you've arrived on campus.
There are over 150 events in total, with more to be announced, so keep checking back, or click attending on the official Freshers' Facebook event for news and updates as they're announced.
