#GenerationVote Week is hitting Middlesex on Monday 13th April, and with our Treasure Hunt you and five of your friends or family could be heading off to Paris to hang out with Elsa, Aladdin and co. Read on for all the details!
We’re embracing the upcoming general election - less than a month! - with a week of democracy-themed fun, made possible with funding from NUS and the Cabinet Office. We’ve got a huge treasure hunt for you to play on campus and online, where the treasure up for grabs is a trip to Disneyland for up to six people.
The treasure hunting will take place on the Middlesex campus in Hendon and online too! Each day will involve a mix of craftivism, quizzing and puzzle solving, and a couple of badass suffragettes direct from 1911 will be popping along to lend a hand too... At the end of the hunt you’ll need to make sure you are registered to vote, then once you’re all registered your team will be entered into the prize draw to win the trip to Disneyland.
First things first, get yourselves into a team of up to six people - or you can go lone ranger, if you like.
Unfortunately, the treasure hunt isn’t open to all Middlesex students. The #GenerationVote Treasure Hunt is funded by the Cabinet Office as part of their voter registration campaign, so you can only take part if you’re able to register to vote. This means you can only take part if you’re from the UK, the EU or a Commonwealth country. We’re sad that we can’t offer this opportunity to all students, but we’re restricted by how we can use the money granted to us.
At some point between 10am and 4pm, get yourself to the Grove on Monday or the Quad on Wednesday and Thursday. You can also take part online - just click here! You can also find us around campus on Monday 20th.
This depends on you, but we think most people will be able to complete it within an hour to 90 minutes. The online hunt should take no more than 30 minutes.
The prize will provide up to six people with entry to Disneyland, your transport there and your accommodation in Paris for the night. If you’re completing the treasure hunt in a team of less than six, feel free to bring along whoever you like: your friend or your daughter or your brother or your nan – the choice is yours. The winner of the trip will be announced on Monday 20th April. Keep an eye on our Facebook page where we'll be announcing the winner, and any other special news...
