Managing Conflicts Session

Elections can be stressful. Only one person can win, but lots of different candidates are running. You can see your name on a big canvas in MDX House, but all these other people want it too! Competition can bring the best out of us, and the worst out of us. In this session, we're going to think about how we can take part in a fair election and minimise conflict at the same time. Whether thats learning how to tell the difference between a genuine election complaint or if maybe you're being a bit OTT, and also how to conduct yourself with integrity and fairly so that you aren't crossing the line between enthusiasm and cheating. We'll talk about building bonds with other candidates, humanising each other, and making sure our energies are in the best possible place - going out and asking students to vote for you!!
